Conspiracy of Venus @ THE Great American SATURDAY! Magic Leaves' Chasing the Moon + The Beehavers SUNDAY! Total Lunar Eclipse Tuesday! Dina Maccabee & Holly Mae holiday show @ MILK 12/29!!

hello! happy winter solstice and total lunar eclipse (tuesday)! celebrate this weekend with two gigantic shows (in my little world), then a bunch more to plan ahead for:
*TOMORROW SATURDAY 12/18 at the Great American Music Hall, I'm singing with Conspiracy of Venus (all-women alt-choir covering Tom Waits, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, the Ramones, Duke Ellington, and more). We're opening for The Mother Hips at their annual holiday show. Or, the Whale go second! 8pm. We sing at 8:30. tix: We're singing a song called Seaward Son with the Mother Hips, that sounds all too much like "Seaweed Sway" for the chorus. I love it! Come and sing along!

*SUNDAY 12/19 Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse SeaweedSway Showcase at the Make-Out Room with Sour Mash Hug Band, Magic Leaves' CHASING THE MOON episode premier, The Beehavers, and New Cadence! Jeremy Dalmas and the Absurdists re-enacting smash-hit late-80s sitcom "Perfect Strangers"! 7:30-11pm. $7 Chasing the Moon episode release is in celebration of the Full Long Night's Moon & Total Lunar Eclipse and Winter Solstice that's happening on Tuesday! Gonna be a cool sky & show.

*Wednesday 12/29 Holly Mae and the Painted Room (in town from Germany!), Dina Maccabee and the Excellent Spellers, Tenderfoot, and the Sylvain Carton Quartet at MILK! in the upper haight across from Amoeba Records, super duper holiday show! If you're in town, don't miss this one!

Also! if you want some stress-relieving yoga, I teach Gentle Hatha tomorrow 12:45-2 at the Yoga Loft. $10 community class! And there are a bunch of free classes all day on Sunday (restorative and vinyasa)! Details at

As always, below is a slightly longer list of upcoming SeaweedSway presented or recommended shows. (Because i can't fit everything in these emails anymore, please check for the full list and for updates thru the week.)
