THIS WEEKEND - the GRAND FINALE OF JULY - to end one of SeaweedSway's busiest months yet !

two shows at AMNESIA, both at 8:30pm:

*FRIDAY (today): PASSENGER & PILOT (sf), BELLS (oakland), alameda (portland), & we are the willows (minneapolis/eau claire) - $7-10

*SATURDAY: GYPSY JAZZ & BELLY DANCE, les trois petits oiseaux & the avatar ensemble, w/ special guests the b-stars (honky-tonk bop & boogie) opening - $10

to those interested in YOGA classes - i'm teaching a gentle yoga series on thursdays in august, 6-7:30, at the loft. 321 divisadero st. @ page. all levels are welcome, & encouraged. you can sign up & find out more here! http://theloftsf.com if you can't make the whole series, drop-ins are welcome, or it's $50 for 4 weeks. in addition to this new series, i also teach gentle yoga saturdays 10:45am-12pm, $10 community class. & sundays, restorative, 6:30-8pm. if you're at all curious, please come try it out & feel free to tell your friends!

Caretakers House Yoga Today (Feb. 2) & Feb. 16 + new Saturday class added at the Yoga Loft

hello everyone!
it's been awhile!!

i hope you got to see the GIANT full moon this weekend, and that you've been enjoying yourselves & practicing yoga in various ways.

just wanted to let you know that class is ON for today (feb. 2nd), at the caretakers house, as it's the first tuesday of the month. please let me know if you plan to make it & if you have any requests. the next class will be on the 3rd tuesday of the month, feb. 16th. (caretakers house class is on the 1st & 3rd tuesdays of the month.)

also, as a reminder, i'm teaching a new gentle hatha yoga class on saturdays from 12:45-2pm at the yoga loft, in a similar style as the tuesday night class. i'm excited to finally teach on a weekend for those who can't make the tuesday night time, or for those who might want to add a second class.

friday i'm teaching restorative yoga as usual each week from 11-12:30 at the yoga loft. details are below. it's a great way to end the week & begin the weekend, clear away some stress & refresh the soul.

if any of those times fit your schedules, it would be great to see you there! both of the yoga loft classes are $10.

Info for Regular Classes:

gentle hatha all-levels yoga class
at the caretakers house
1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month
class is 6:15-7:45pm. arrive by 6:10 to set up.

feel free to bring friends, have them rsvp if they're new... all levels are welcome.
cost: free! though trades or $5-10 donations welcome.

cost: this class a reduced price of $10 for friends (instead of $17 drop-in). just tell the person at the front desk (karen!)...
description: this is different from a regular yoga class, in that you do less poses and hold them for a longer amount of time in a non-strenuous way, all propped up, so the body can relax more deeply... focus is on the breath and gentle opening of places where we hold extra tension and stress... and re-setting, exploring, rejuvenating intentions.

Caretakers House Yoga Rescheduled to Thursday this Week, FREE Class for Total Beginners @ The Yoga Loft Tuesday

dear seaweedsway yogis & yoginis:
i'm sorry to report that i have to reschedule tomorrow night's yoga class @ the caretakers house... sorry if you were planning on coming!  i am happy to report, however, that the caretakers house is kindly letting us use the space on thursday night instead!  and there is a free class at the yoga loft for total beginners* that you could go to on tuesday in exchange.  (*i know you are all not total beginners, but if you consider yourself to be new to yoga still this would be a good class to check out. Marni is an excellent teacher, and I'll see you at the front desk to check you in!)
