music parties, homemade fashion show, everything swap snackluck


main events for this week:

8-6-08 (wednesday!)
langhorne slim & the war eagles show at the independent. their live show is not to be missed... a little bit of folk with lots of soul. as well as ample dancing and occasional hand-clapping. guitar, upright bass, drums, singing, and quality banter. dusty rhodes and the river band and sean garvey open. show's at 8. tickets here. i hope to see you there.

8-7-08 (thursday)

8-8-08 (friday!)
jeremy's album release AND going away party at the bus stop house- theme is Zombie-Zoo-Prom Vs. Post-Soviet-Buffy. come before 10 for a free live performance of the album. decorate a copy to take home w/ you. email "Jeremy Dalmas" <jdalmas@gmail.com> for details.
and - US air guitar national finals (seriously). at the Grand Ballroom. tickets here . no guitars allowed.

8-9-08 (saturday)
alemany farm workday!! see what's growing, and take some home w/ you at the end of the day. herb garden planting continues... 12-5pm
music store's 10th anniversary party featuring trainwreck riders & kemo sabe. free music & food & 25% off all used buyable items. all day (twr on at 9).

8-10-08 (sunday!)
everything swap plus snackluck (vegetarian) at vanessa's house - 1-4pm - details here

8-11-08 (monday)
raw & vegan friendly potluck at the caretakers house (848 divisadero).

8-13-08 (wednesday!)
women's vocal and physical release workshop - finding the freedom to say what you want to say - w/ blythe at the caretakers house (3 week series) - email blythefoster@yahoo.com for more info. i'm taking this and encourage other women to attend. blythe is trained in theatre and is currently in 3 musical projects (botticellis, cotillion, kuma/kosha). i trust her to lead us into a safe space where creative expression can be explored.
