Hoping to stop by the bluegrass fest today, but before I go, wanted to make sure you know about these great October shows coming up. A little summary: Tonight I'll be singing w/Conspiracy of Venus at Amnesia, we open at 9:30pm, doors 9:15. (Our video: http://www.youtube.com/
Thursday October 18th is a big big show, at a small cozy place. Slow Motion Cowboys are releasing their new album, Buzzard Songs, and it's been a long time in the making with a lot of love. (SMC vid: "shark attack" http://youtu.be/ZVLnnj8hy68 ) Please come support. They are one of my favorite favorite bands ever. The gathering is at Viracocha, so please get there early to ensure a good seat. The night starts with Virgil Shaw (Pete of Slow Motion Cowboy's favorite, I am excited to finally hear his music) + Mike Coykendall from Portland is releasing his album too! His album features Zooey Deschanel, M.Ward, Ben Gibbard, and a host of others). Please be there!
Then two Halloween shows will close the month. Sunday October 21st at the Make-Out Room: Mark Matos & his Transband, Michael Musika, & Mana Maddy: Magic Mountain Night. Costumes encouraged. + at the Starry Plough Saturday October 27th, Adam Burns Band, Ayla Nereo, & Zej & Calen's East Bay CD Release! I am usually not one to dress up for this holiday, but this year I've resolved to figure out some sort of costume, so let me know if you have ideas. :)

As a reminder, please spread the word to friends all over the US: Sean Hayes is on tour in support of his JUST RELEASED new album! Opening band is Birds of Chicago. They are sharing a bass player, and Eric Kuhn is on drums, keyboard, special effects (i.e. rad beats). "Before We Turn To Dust" is the new album which I HIGHLY recommend; it's available at http://www.seanhayesmusic.
