*Obo Martin, Sonya Cotton, & Shake Your Peace. 7pm. secret caves by the sea, under the Cliff House. (follow Geary to the Ocean until you're swimming) FREE. bring firewood. dress warm. rain, fog, or starshine, moonshine, or darkness.

from gabe: If you're like me, then one of the main reasons you put up with the stress of city life is to be around when crazy concerts like this one come bobbing into the harbor, pirate pennant waving, folk-filled middle finger extended, freedom as far as the eye can see... A san francisco show that reminds you why you wanted to leave Utah (or your hometown equivalent) and be an urban bohemian adventurer in the first place!

It's all happening in the caves beneath the Cliff House, where the mythical Obo Martin (the greatest folk songwriter around - on a tour of the NW - and former resident of the caves - seriously), SHAKE YOUR PEACE!, and perhaps the Sonya Cotton Band, will play by campfire light, the pleasant glow of chaos, and the sound of starfish fractalizing.

Scrap-Soup investigates how technology has changed what is important to us in conveying information, generating a live audio-visual-kinetic text on stage. (from kira)
