if you're in town this month and are looking for things to do, you will find a list of recommended options below. as usual, there are music shows, w/ farm workdays, yoga classes, and a swap mixed in...
as you construct resolutions for the new year, perhaps you will even find a few of the events below to be in line w/ your 2009 intentions.
(i.e., support local music by going to shows, start/continue practicing yoga, learn how to and participate in growing your own food, get rid of things you no longer use, buy less by re-using others' hand-me-downs, & build community through all these things...!!!)
speaking of food:
*if you haven't done so yet, i encourage you to sign this petition for a sustainable US Department of Agriculture. http://www.fooddemocracynow.
*also, if you live in or around SF and like to shop at Rainbow Grocery, you may want to locate a new yellow pages phone book and tear out the sheet of coupons in the back. (p. 31?) you can get 20% off every wednesday and thursday, every month of 2009!
happy new year. hope to see you soon!
newly added days are in the orange-ish color, event days from before are still in blue.
