IL GATO, INDIE-FOLK-ROCK BAND, NEEDS MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST
Hello, local SF band, il gato (http://www.ilgato.com), are in need of a multi-instrumentalist who can play trumpet/flugelhorn and an additional instrument, ideally one of the following:  Piano, Guitar, Accordion, Banjo, etc.

We are a serious band with a good track record, grand aspirations, and are looking for a talented musician who shares our aspirations and the associated commitments and wants to be a part of an on-going creative project. We all sing, we help write songs and we want this to be an awesome experience. We intend to record our next album in the Fall and tour in 2012. You would be signing up for both of these work-intensive activities. Please contact us at gato@ilgato.com if you are interested in collaborating!

PRACTICE SPACE AVAILABLE AT SECRET STUDIOS
We are looking for a band to fill a rehearsal slot at Secret Studios (2200 Cesar Chavez, SF, CA). You would have to share a drum set (yours or ours) with one of the current bands due to lack of space, though there is ample rehearsal and storage space for your band in the room. Tonite! SeaweedSway Presents: Poor Bailey, Foxtails Brigade, & Il Gato @ Cafe du Nord! Friday: Beehavers @ Viracocha! + Events To Go To

hey there,
i'm writing to remind you all of a big show tonight! SeaweedSway Presents: Poor Bailey, Foxtails Brigade, and Il Gato at Cafe du Nord!!! see you there?? il gato, local indie-baroque-folk group (that are a new favorite of mine), are opening the night, so get there early. (7:30 doors / they go at 8:30 sharp). then co-headliner Foxtails Brigade (another favorite), with Laura Weinbach and Anton Patzner (Judgement Day, Bright Eyes, Dredg, etc), will awe you with their eclectic, intricate, and beautiful songs, that they've been practicing lots by busking on the streets regularly!! for the final act, Poor Bailey will sing us their folk-rock songs ~ new and old. this month they've been writing a song a day! So tonight will be a cassette release of those songs w/ a couple of bonus tracks!

dear friends, 
upon the arrival of the new moon, this is your weekly reminder about some great shows this week & beyond, as well as yoga classes that i'm teaching (caretakers house class this week), & housing/job list + event submission info if you scroll down even farther!

*thanks to the sf weekly & the bay bridged (& anyone else who has helped promote!) for mentioning tomorrow night's show (links below) at the swedish american hall. 

*also, please be sure to check out the little video made for wednesday's womenrock conspiracy of venus show at the independent, w/ a neat little seaweed photo to represent seaweedsway (ha)! 

*you may notice, if you read the list below... seaweedsway is presenting more shows lately, which is a very exciting progression, & is only possible because of the attendance & support of friends like you, so thanks!!!!

*obligatory logistical note: i encourage you to arrive early & get your tickets in advance for as many of these shows as possible. tomorrow night (swedish american hall), next wednesday (the independent), & next sunday (the make-out room) are going to be super special events, so please come if at all possible! (even if you're out of town, you're welcome to buy a ticket in support of the music, that can go to someone who is not able to afford it here.)

Restorative Yoga Sundays at the Yoga Loft. $17 drop-in, or $10 if you ask for the friend price. new student passes are 3 classes for $35. 6:30-8pm. (This class happens weekly, but there will be a very wonderful sub on the 3rd Sundays because of the SeaweedSway showcase!)
