Hello to those near & far.
Hope you are having good Saturday nights and enjoyed the sunny bay day. Tomorrow night (9/29), I'll be spending another Sunday evening at Amnesia and would love some company, for what I know will be a wonderful show-- withEmily Jane White, Spectre Spectre, & King Woman. Doors are at 8, Show at 8:30, in an attempt to not stay up too late, for those who have to get up early Monday!
There is a more enticing description of the bands with videos and sound links below, and if you read on, you'll see the Seaweed Sway show list, with a few bonus recommended shows thrown in.
A couple more things: Sean Hayes and The Blank Tapes are still on tour - landing in SF Nov 8th & 9th at the Independent. Sean Hayes also put out a new single, Magic Slim vs. Dynamite! Preview the song, and buy it if you like it! Please tell friends around the US to go see 'em: http://seanhayesmusic.com
Lastly, my friend & guitar teacher, Emily Shumway, is planning on doing a benefit show to help Close Guantanamo Bay detention center - partnering with a friend of hers who has been doing a 60 or 70 day fast to raise awareness. To learn more about the cause, go to http://CloseGitmo.net If you'd like to help out, please email her atemilylacantante@gmail.com
Thanks!
Jessie

Emily Jane White: "Emily Jane White's singing voice, wispy and sweet but undercut with an alluring world-weary weight, lends itself to brow-furrowing introspection and rustic tales of woe...It's heartening to see an artist as young as Emily Jane White recognize and exploit her strengths." -PitchforkWATCH/LISTEN, OH KATHERINE: http://youtu.be/ CbQlAIupyn8
